Enyeama to make Eagles U-turn ?

Newly appointed Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr last week revealed that he would try to convince Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama to come out of retirement.Rohr revealed that the experienced goalkeeperwould be part of his plan for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers which will be held in Russia.Enyeama, prior to his retirement had a bust up with former Super Eagles handler Sunday Oliseh in Belgium, which forced the former
Enyimba captain out of the national team.Enyeama rejects Super Eagles After retiring from international duty, Carl Ikeme has being Nigeria’s first choice goaltender, but the new coach still wants Enyeama to return to the Super Eagles.A top source closed to Vincent Enyeama however revealed to our correspondent that Enyeama would never return to the national team stressing that he is currently focused on club’s duties.“Me and Vincent have discussed this many times, and he would not return to the Super Eagles as he wants the coach to give other young goalkeepers the chance.“He does not even want anyone to bring the topic to him not to talk about him discussing it,so I don’t know how the new coach would convince him because Enyeama has concluded his mind long time ago,”he said to our correspondent.Despite his lofty achievements for his country, Vincent Enyeama’s international career came to a sad end on October 8, 2015, after a confrontation with former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh.The drama started after Oliseh told Enyeama to leave the Eagles camp in Belgium for questioning his choice of Ahmed Musa as captain.Enyeama took to his Instagram to make the disclosure.He posted:“I have fought a good fight for morethan 13 years. I have finished my course, I have kept faith and sang the anthem with passion. Henceforth, there is laid for me a crown which only GOD can reward me for my 13 years of national services. God bless NIGERIA. From HENCEFORTH, I am no more the captain of the NIGERIAN senior football team, I am no more the goalie of the team, I am out of the team. I am no more available for international duties. I want to say thank you to every Nigerian fan and supporter world wide. It’s been the most trying period of my life but I know that Nigerian are there for me and God iswith me. God bless Nigeria #ENDOFANERA.”He is the most capped player ever for the national team, with 101 caps for the Super Eagles.
